This year we're very excited to be welcoming a new presenter, Adam Gottlieb, son of ETHS's very own Mr. Gottlieb and one of the featured poets from the award-winning documentary Louder Than a Bomb, which chronicled the preparations and performances of a handful of students competing in the 2008 annual Chicago Teen Poetry Festival. (Click HERE to see Adam's performance of "Poet Breathe Now" from the film.)
We hope to see as many of you as possible come in with your teachers and classmates for our presentations and workshops (see flyer above); HOWEVER you are also welcome to attend any of them during your free periods. And, of course, everyone is encouraged stop by our Open Mic during lunch periods on Friday to read your own poetry or just to listen to and encourage your fellow Wildkits!
***Quick Note: MRC will be closed to regular classes, drop-ins, and Study Hall students during workshop times on Tuesday and Wednesday and during Friday's Open Mic. We ask that anyone who does visit MRC during those times do so with the intent to participate in that day's Poetry Week events. Thank you for your cooperation!
