You may recall that beloved East Librarian Mrs. Figel retired at the end of last year. She'll still be around from time to time as a substitute, but Mrs. Rosen and Mr. Latham will now be sharing duties in East Library. (And, of course, Mrs. Chadwick and Ms. Brown-Powell still live there, too.)
Mr. Latham will also still be spending part of his day in Central Library, but otherwise you will be seeing two new faces in there this year. Our new librarian, Ms. Morgan, will be out on the floor during most periods in Central. She is joined by Ms. Simon, who you may remember seeing around as a sub during previous years. (Longtime staff member Mrs. Iverson will still be floating around between the two libraries as well, though she'll primarily be in Central.)
What's the Same?
Central Library is still your place to go for all things nonfiction! Central will also once again remain open until 6:30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays this year, so if you need a quiet place to do work after school or before practice, come see us!
East Library is still your place to go for all things fiction! East also houses ETHS's entire graphic novel collection, Spanish language books, and our ETHS Alumni Collection, as well as its own smaller collection of nonfiction (including lots of poetry and biographical works).
